Magnesium is wonderful for the littlest members of the family and amazing for pregnant mothers! The original Magnesium Body Butter contains products that aren't safe for either of those treasured people, so I created a gentler version. This version has no essential oils so it is great for those concerned with essential oils.

What makes this product amazing for little ones and pregnant mothers?

The ingredients: This blend includes nourishing hydrosols (flower essences that are from the distillation process of making essential oils) from lavender (calming and soothing), helichrysum (great for bumps and bruises), and Roman Chamomile (helps relieve and relax). It has a light, calming scent. Magnesium Chloride is highly absorbable and is a very effective way to transdermally get magnesium. It has a molecular structure that penetrates the skin easier than other forms. Magnesium is wonderful for hormones, digestion, sleep, pain relief, and so much more. Magnesium is found in every cell in your body. It is necessary for your body to function! Some research has shown that it can be absorbed in the body easier through the skin than orally.

The Process: I've taken courses on safely making natural skin care products. A common misconception for a lot of magnesium body butters out there is that the Magnesium Chloride brine used is an oil. It is actually not oil and mixes only with oil in a process called emulsification and requires a stabilizer. Because of this misunderstanding, many manufacturers I've seen mix the magnesium brine directly in only oil, making it susceptible to mold and bacteria. I follow strict and safe cleaning procedures and refuse to make a subpar product that is compromised with mold. I always test my preservative (an ecocert-approved preservative) to make sure I am making a safe product.
